| As the latest corporate member of the Scottish Plastics and Rubber Association, Carl Challenger, Area Sales Manager was invited to give a presentation about the range of equipment specifically used for the testing of plastic and rubber.
The March meeting on Mechanical Testing of Plastics and Rubber, held at the Ineos Exhibition Centre in Grangemouth, was the ideal opportunity to display the wealth of technology that Zwick Testing Machines has in the fields of plastic and rubber testing.
Carl presented information on a wide range of testing applications, including tensile, compressive, flexural behaviour, adhesion, friction and puncture. Other topics covered pendulum and falling weight impact tests and melt flow properties. The Zwick presentation included an interactive demonstration by, Phil Morris, of the user friendly Zwick testXpert® software which illustrated the flexibility of this product.
Carl Challenger is seen being presented with the Zwick Testing Machines Ltd membership certificate by Sheena Geddes, SPRA Membership Secretary.
