| In January 2003, voestalpine Krems GmbH, one of the leading pipe and profile manufacturers located in Krems on the Danube/Austria has placed an order with us for the modernization of a materials testing machine, type Roell & Korthaus, RKM 600 with a nominal load of 600 kN. The burning issue of spare parts supply and the possibility to have the testing machine integrated into the company network via the modern testXpert® software plus the retention of the high-priced components were the arguments clearly speaking in favor of a modernization. The testXpert® software responds to these demands by offering a high flexibility and simple and easy operation with modern operating systems. With this user software, test data are acquired automatically, the test sequence is controlled and monitored, and the test results are determined and documented.
The modernization of this test system with standardized measurement, control, and drive modules made it possible to upgrade the hardware to comply with the state of the art. And they are the basis for the application of up-to-date materials testing technology components adapted to the current test standards and certification regulations. As a result, service can be guaranteed for a minimum period of 10 years.
