| Yet the sale was not toasted with champagne, but with beer! The machine was bought by a Dutch brewery which is using the ProLine (our former BasicLine) machine to test the bottles its beer is filled into. The traditional bottles used by the brewery come with a flip top that has to be easy to open by the consumer while tight enough to keep the product bubbly and fresh. Random samples are tested to ensure that the force needed to open the bottles does not exceed the maximum permissible value set.
And it was Zwick's intention when introducing the ProLine to position this product for just such unusual applications. The machine targets routine and standard applications in functional testing of components and in simple materials testing carried out with the proven Zwick quality � best value for money.
In a further step toward optimal customer orientation, we have extended the ProLine product portfolio. Almost simultaneously with the sale of the 500th ProLine, we were able to announce an extension of the line. Now, testing machines with an extended load range of up to 100 kN round off the product portfolio of tabletop testing devices.
Also, all of our ProLine testing machines can be equipped with the graphical ProLine test program editor for enhanced comfort and ease of use. The test program was explicitly developed with the special requirements of part and component testing in mind. All the user has to do is insert the desired test module in the required order and start the program. This modular design is of particular interest to users desiring to build different test programs quickly and flexibly.
Of course, the 500th machine sold makes a clear statement: Zwick has recognized the needs of its customers and met them. And we will, in the future, be as diligent in meeting these needs as now. |
