| The proverbial Zwick partnership does not exist only on paper. Recently, it was put to the test during the relocation of the Center for Safety Technology of the construction industry’s worker’s compensation board from Erkrath to Haan, Germany.
It was Zwick’s mission to prepare two Dynamess testing machines for transport and to take them back into operation at their new location. Both machines were calibrated in accordance with DKD and one machine was modernized with testControl electronics.
Although the new accommodations could not be completed on schedule, the customer was required to continue testing of equipment (carabiners). Without further ado, our office in Haan offered quick relief. The main plant in Ulm provided the appropriate specimen grips and these were installed on a demo machine. This made it possible for the Center to perform the necessary tests over a period of several weeks without additional cost and the unbureaucratic cooperation of ZwickService provided great satisfaction.
Precisely such unplanned developments illustrate the constant uncertainties an organization can be confronted with on short notice during any machine relocation, and exactly how important it is to be able to rely on a competent partner like Zwick. |
