Control Cube - The next generation modular servo-hydraulic controller

Developed in partnership between Zwick Roell and CaTs3, the Control Cube is an exciting new development in modular digital servo-technology. Replacing the popular K7500 it offers many significant technical benefits.

Powerful, Fast, Flexible, Expandable, packed with Functionality - yet smaller in size

The Control Cube is packed with many new features and yet it is half the size and twice as fast as the traditional K7500 controller. It possesses significantly more functionality and expandability than comparable products. It is totally integrated into the testXpert®-QX modular software system.

As a modular system the user immediately benefits from the expansion possibilities. Firstly, a 2nd control channel can be plugged directly into the basic unit. If more actuators are required, then Control Cubes can be interconnected for multi-channel rigs, up to a maximum of 32 control channels.

A variety of different plug-in cards such as analogue I/O, digital I/O, additional signal conditioning etc, enhance the modularity and flexibility even further. Furthermore, the KiNet plug in module allows seamless integration with existing K7500 controllers in a single test rig.

Control Cube's standard Ethernet interface enables configuration via a Notebook computer or PC over a wired or wireless connection. Although controlled locally, tests can be monitored from several locations.

Because of its integrated and fully synchronised analogue interface, Control Cube can also be used to drive any other brand of servo-controllers, or it can be used in conjunction with existing controllers. If required later, the analogue interface can simply be upgraded to a full control option to replace the existing controllers.

The testXpert®-QX software provides users with a powerful set of tools in the fatigue/durability test laboratory with a clear emphasis on flexibility, performance, and ease of use.

Due to modern and efficient design technology a cost effective solution can now be offered in the single and multi-channel servo-hydraulic systems test market. Many new features such as virtual channels, TEDS transducer recognition, universal digital signal conditioning, compatibility with K7500 and many more, enhance its ease of use and will make this a very popular new controller.

Please note that the Control Cube will be initially available only in Europe.
