Automatic Tensile Testing System for Sheet Metal |
| A new system for automatically testing sheet metal was delivered to the ThyssenKrupp Stahl AG in Neuwied in mid-2005.
In addition to the modernized Zwick 1475 tensile testing machine and the cross-sectional area monitor, a roughness measurement device and a bar code reader are integrated in this system. This makes it possible to perform fully automatic tensile testing in accordance with various relevant standards such as EN 10002-1 and ASTM E8 and to carry out roughness measurements in accordance with international standards.
The software of the complete system is tied to the central testing computer. The results are therefore available online immediately subsequent to testing. |
