You’re invited to join us at our Zwick Roell LTM Electro-Dynamic Testing Machine & testXpert Research Software Workshop

Electro-dynamic testing machines are used to determine material and component fatigue strength in the areas of fatigue life and fatigue limit.

Thanks to oil-free drive technology and simple installation, they are ideal for use in medical engineering but also in R&D. Typical examples are tests for hip joints and knee or dental implants. Other applications are tests on standard plastics and composites test specimens as well as aluminium and plastics CT and SEB specimens. The LTM dynamic testing machine series is currently available with loads of ±5 and ±10 kN, as well as a total piston stroke of 60 mm.

  • We will showcase cutting edge applications that demonstrate the flexibility of the LTM system
  • Explain the advantages of the LTM system compared with conventional servo-hydraulic machines
  • Delegates will have an opportunity for ‘hands-on’ test routine preparation and running

testXpert Research is the software platform for fatigue tests and other cyclic, dynamic, and quasi-static materials and component tests on dynamic Zwick/Roell testing systems.

The software uses an ergonomic workflow to guide the user through all steps of the test, from setup to results export. The side bar that always appears on the interface
gives the user full control of the status of the test and the testing system. The software can record and save data with up to 10 kHz. Data recording for tests with high
counting cycles can also be configured by the user to significantly reduce the data volume.

  • We will demonstrate the ease with which users can set up and run a wide range of tests types
  • Explain the benefits of testXpert ‘R’ software over other commercially available software platforms
  • Delegates will have an opportunity for ‘hands-on’ experience to illustrate the ease of setting up test procedures and capturing test data

The event will take place on Thursday, 3rd August 2017 between 10:15am – 4:00pm at our Demonstration Centre, 30, Hurst Business Park, Brierley Hill, West Midlands DY5 1UT
