Tensile Test

Tensile Test

For tensile tests on pipes specimens are taken from the pipe wall.  The thickness of the specimen generally corresponds to the pipe wall thickness and the specimen is curved along its longitudinal axis in accordance with the pipe diameter.

A testing standard frequently used for thermoplastic pipes is ISO 6259. There are, however, depending on type of pipe, material and country of use, many additional national and international standards.

Zwicki-Line is a single-column testing machine specially designed for low test loads. Its space-saving design allows use in a variety of locations. The PrecisionLine range is ideal wherever high-accuracy force and travel measurement plus excellent test result reproducibility are required, for example testing small compression springs for electromechanical components or functional units.

ProLine materials testing machines

ProLine Testing Machines

The twin-column ProLine testing machines are specially designed for function-testing components and for routine materials testing and feature precision guides and a low-wear ball-screw for trouble-free operation in tensile and compression modes.

Specimen preparation for plastics

The ZCP 020 manual cutting press employs the bent-lever principle. Interesting detail solutions allow accurate, energy-saving, convenient operation. The bent-lever length was selected to achieve up to 30 % higher cutting force in the starting range than with conventional presses. This cutting-press features particularly operator-friendly design and can be placed on any workbench or laboratory table or mounted at optimum height on a sturdy wall. In addition, particular emphasis has been placed on simple, quick, and exact height adjustment of the compression die to accommodate varying heights of different cutting blades.
