Charpy Pendulum Impact Tester

Impact Tests

Impact tests on complete pipe sections are usually performed with special non-instrumented drop-weight testers.

Small pipe diameters, as frequently used in automobile construction, can be tested to ISO 7628-2 with a pendulum impact tester in a modified Charpy arrangement with a 7.5J pendulum.

Impact testing or notched impact testing on specimens taken from the pipe wall can also be performed as a materials test using the Charpy or Izod test methods.

The ZCP 020 manual cutting press employs the bent-lever principle. Interesting detail solutions allow accurate, energy-saving, convenient operation. The bent-lever length was selected to achieve up to 30 % higher cutting force in the starting range than with conventional presses. This cutting-press features particularly operator-friendly design and can be placed on any workbench or laboratory table or mounted at optimum height on a sturdy wall. In addition, particular emphasis has been placed on simple, quick, and exact height adjustment of the compression die to accommodate varying heights of different cutting blades.
